My friend, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 2)
Health for Spirit, Soul and Body
What happens afterwards? Well God knows we will still make mistakes, but He will not disown us if we keep faith with Him (John 6:37; 1 John 1:9).
He knows our frailty and He treats us like little children learning to walk: when we fall and call out for help He picks us up, dusts us off and sets us on our way again.
He knows we cannot make it alone and so He promises to put His life within us, and give us the Holy Spirit, to help us.
(Acts 2:38; Romans 8:1-4, 9).
None of us can manage to live as Christians ought to live without the Holy Spirit’s help. Most of us don't manage too well even with His help available, because we still choose our own way far too often.
God knows how weak we are and all the time we are willing to come and ask forgiveness he bears with our weakness. (I John 1:5-10)
Mind you, He'll chastise us like children too if He knows we are not trying that hard!
